Logan Winston, Principal
Logan Winston is a renewable energy development expert who has been advancing renewable energy projects across the US since 2007.
Starting with Mackinaw Power, Logan completed early work on the Gratiot County Wind Farm in Michigan before joining EDPR and working on the Rising Tree wind project in Kern County, California, early stage wind prospects in Arizona, and the Bright Stalk wind farm in McLean County, Illinois. Subsequently, Logan performed an array of roles in the solar industry, including new project siting and land acquisition.
In 2018 Logan joined ADVANCE Energy, a boutique renewable energy consulting firm, as employee #2. In this role Logan was responsible for M&A due diligence for wind and solar energy projects and spent 2 years as a project development manager for the Milligan I wind farm in Saline County, Nebraska. AES acquired ADVANCE Energy in 2020 to be AES’s wind team. At AES, Logan held several leadership roles focused on wind development, wind repowers, and overall strategy in CAISO and WECC across solar and battery energy storage systems.
Logan received an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and is a Geographic Information Systems expert. He also possesses a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan and a BA from Kenyon College. Logan was an AmeriCorps volunteer during 1999-2000.
